Flood alert

High river levels may lead to flooding today.
Flooding is possible on 14 March 2026, however, river levels have now peaked and are beginning to fall.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers, including Queens’ Staith in York city centre. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
