Flood alert

High river levels today may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 25 March 2026 through to 26 March 2026. Locations most affected will be riverside footpaths, roads near rivers and low-lying land in York and to the south as far as Naburn Lock, including Kings Staith, Queens Staith, and South Esplanade in York city centre. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9:00AM on 26 March 2026 or as the situation changes.
