Flood alert

This Flood Alert remains in force for overnight, Tuesday 3 February 2026 into Wednesday 4 February 2026. The Stour and its tributaries in the Ashford area remain high today following the weekend’s rainfall. There remains an ongoing possibility of flooding to low lying land, paths or roads alongside major watercourses in the Ashford area, including the Civic Centre car park. Areas around Aldington flood storage area will remain high. Levels are high but steady in most locations in the Ashford area. However, further rainfall expected into the evening may cause flooding of later. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 on 4 February 2026, or as the situation changes.
