Flood alert

River levels will remain high today due to further rainfall forecast this morning. Flooding is possible on Saturday 7 February 2026 throughout the day. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads along the River Great Stour and the River East Stour, particularly in and around Ashford. No further heavy rainfall is forecast for tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 18:00 on Saturday 7 February 2026, or as the situation changes.
