Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Wendlebury Brook as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected within the next 1-2 hours tonight, 23/09/2024. Areas most at risk include properties on Church Lane and those closest to the Wendlebury Brook on the Wendlebury Road in Wendlebury.
Heavy rainfall is forecast to continue over the coming hours, clearing by the morning. We expect river levels to continue to rise until around midnight before stabilising and dropping into the morning.
Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens in the area. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 24/09/2024, or as the situation changes.
