Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Wendlebury Brook as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is possible this evening, 24/11/2024. Areas most at risk include properties on Church Lane and those closest to the Wendlebury Brook on the Wendlebury Road. Further rainfall is forecast overnight which should clear by the morning. We expect river levels to continue to rise over the next few hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
