Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have risen at the Shifnal river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is expected this afternoon today, 26/10/2019. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Shifnal and Evelith.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levers to remain high over the weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
This message will be updated by 7pm on 26/10/2019, or as the situation changes.
