However, a Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding may still affect roads and low lying land. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation and staff remain on site managing the barriers on The Wharfage. We continue to liaise with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water
