Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high but falling at the Shifnal river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible today, Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Shifnal and Evelith.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours as a result of Storm Dennis. We expect river levels to remain high throughout today.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 12pm on Monday 17/02/20, or as the situation changes.
