Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 10 to 20mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 10mm of rain, a small amount. From 6:00PM 18/02/2026, minor flooding could affect fields, roads and gardens in Liss and Sheet. From 10:00PM 18/02/2026, flooding could affect gardens in Iping. From 6:00AM 19/02/2026, flooding could affect isolated properties at Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. If the less likely scenario occurs with more rain, isolated property flooding is possible. River levels should peak by Thursday morning (Liss) or Thursday evening (Fittleworth), and continue to slowly fall on Friday and through the weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have including in Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. Avoid roads that flood (Iping).
