Flood alert

The Western Rother is higher than normal between Lodsbridge near Selham, and Fittleworth, but is now falling. Flood water will continue to affect fields, roads, gardens, and be close to isolated Mill properties at Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. Between Liss and Midhurst river levels have already fallen near to normal. Only isolated showers are forecast Friday and Saturday, before more rain on Sunday. River levels should continue to slowly fall on Friday and Saturday. There will be a small river rise on Sunday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February and further periods of flood risk are possible in the coming weeks. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. This message will be updated by 20:00 on 21/02/2026.
