Flooding expected. Take action now.
The flood warning for Willow Beck at Northallerton is now in force as a result of river levels responding to recent heavy rainfall. The river level is increasing at Northallerton and will continue to rise this morning, Thursday 21/01/2021 before falling later in the day. Areas most at risk are Finkills Way, Tannery Lane ( Including Northern Powergrid building), Springwell Lane and Bailey Court. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low-lying footpaths and roads near watercourses, and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying land that may be flooded. Please see GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
