Flooding expected. Take action now.
A series of high spring tides are due over the next 2 days. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible around the time of the high tides. We expect flooding to affect properties and garages in the Elmdale area.
Predicted peaks:- Avonmouth Portbury 8m to 8.2m on 18/10/24 at 20:45, and 7.7 to 7.95m on 19/10/24 at 09:00. Newport 7.6m to 7.8m on 18/10/24 at 20:45 and 7.2m to 7.45m on 19/10/24 at 09:00.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
