Flooding expected. Take action now.
A series of high spring tides are due over the next few days. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible around the time of the high tides. We expect flooding to affect properties and garages in the Elmdale area.
Predicted peaks:- Avonmouth Portbury 7.7m to 7.9m on 19/10/24 at 21:30, and 7.7 to 8.2m on 20/10/24 at 09:45. Newport 7.4m to 7.6m on 19/10/24 at 21:15 and 7.5m to 7.75m on 20/10/24 at 09:30.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
