Flooding expected. Take action now.
A flood warning has been issued as a result of high spring tides peaking this evening and tomorrow morning.
Tides will be at their highest tonight around 22:00, 10/09/2025. Flooding to properties, roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply a few hours either side of the high tide.
High tides may impact properties and roads in and around Elmdale, Chepstow.
Predicted peaks:-
Avonmouth Portbury 7.7m to 8m on 10/09/2025 at 22:00.
Newport 7.7m at 22:00 on 10/09/2025 and 7.2m at 10:15 on 11/09/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
