Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

The River Ouse is high, but now slowly falling in Barcombe, following Tuesday's rain. Flood impacts will continue to affect the Anchor Inn and Barcombe Mills properties, Barcombe Mills road, Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge. Only isolated showers are forecast until Friday. River levels will continue to fall. Near Barcombe river levels might not return nearer to normal until Friday. A small amount of rain is forecast Friday and Saturday. More minor flooding could be possible. We are operating structures at Barcombe to reduce flood risk. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Avoid roads that flood, including Barcombe Mills Road. This message will be updated by 14:00 29/01/2026.
