Flood alert

River levels have risen in response to rainfall overnight and this morning. Flooding is possible. Areas most at risk are around Bin Brook, at Newnham in Cambridge. Further showers are possible throughout the day today and a further band of heavier rainfall is forecast overnight tonight, Thursday 4th April, which may keep river levels high. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 5pm today, 04/04/24 or if the situation changes.
