Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are rising steadily in response to recent rainfall and snowmelt. Flooding is possible today and overnight, 05/01/25. Areas most at risk are around Bin Brook, at Newnham in Cambridge.
Further rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours which will see river levels keep rising and could also lead to some surface water problems. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger.
We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, 06/01/25.
