Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

River levels are rising steadily in response to rainfall from Storm Darragh. Flooding is possible overnight and into tomorrow, Monday 9th December. Areas most at risk are around Bin Brook, at Newnham in Cambridge. Further light rainfall is forecast this evening which may see river levels rise further or stay high. The forecast is dry from tomorrow which will allow levels to fall. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don’t put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation and are not expecting it to escalate. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Monday 9th December 2024.
