Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Tuesday's early morning tide at 00:15 on 11/02/2020 is higher than normal due to high tides and Force 8 winds and large waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.47 m. The total forecast tide is 7.98 metres Chart Datum (4.33 mAOD) at Eastbourne. For 2 hours either side of high water, spray overtopping of defences will affect Carlisle Parade, Hastings. Water will flow across the road at Rock a Nore Parade. There are high tides and large waves forecast until Thursday 13/02/2020. Tuesday's tide at 12:30 will be lower, but could still cause minor impacts. We continue to monitor the forecast. Avoid walking or cycling at Hastings sea front. Spray and waves will contain and scatter shingle which is dangerous. The tide will also wash across some walking routes. We will update this message by 17:00 on 10/02/2020 with information of the high tide at 12:30 on 11/02/2020
