Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected around the high tide this lunchtime, Tuesday 09/04/24, at 12:30 PM. Areas most at risk include Roa Island, Rampside, A5087 coast road, Aldingham, South Ulverston, Canal Foot, Greenodd, Cark, West Plain Farm, Grange-over-Sands, Meathop, Milnthorpe, B5282 coast road, Sandside and Arnside. Flooding is possible between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM on 09/04/2024. We are not expecting subsequent high tides to reach the flood warning level. Our incident response staff have closed flood gates in the area. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. This message will be updated by 6:00 PM on Tuesday 09/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
