Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 from 02:00 as a lot of rain is forecast (25mm).
Flooding could affect footpaths at Milford Bridge, opposite Lucerne Road, and potentially, gardens at Milford on Sea High Street. No impacts are expected at Ashley. Higher levels than Wednesday 21/01/2026 are expected. Rain associated with Storm Chandra is forecast this evening, overnight and into tomorrow. River levels and flood risk will remain high throughout tomorrow. Further showers are forecast for the next few days. The high tide is at 04:59 on 27/01/2026, so the Danes Stream will be tide locked for a few hours around the time of high tide.
We are closely monitoring the situation and Milford Dam will operate as required.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Particularly at Milford Bridge opposite Lucerne Road.
