Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 as a lot of rain fell overnight in Storm Chandra (37mm). Flooding could affect footpaths at Milford Bridge, opposite Lucerne Road, and potentially, gardens at Milford on Sea High Street. No impacts are expected at Ashley. River levels and flood risk will remain high throughout Tuesday. Further showers are forecast for the next few days. Next high tides are at 17:15 on 27/01/2026, and 06:14 on 28/01/2026, with the Danes Stream tide locked for a few hours around the time of each high tide. We are closely monitoring the situation and Milford Dam will operate as required. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, particularly at Milford Bridge opposite Lucerne Road. This message will be updated by 13:00 on 28 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
