Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026, as a lot of rain fell in Storm Chandra (41mm). Flooding is affecting footpaths at Milford Bridge, opposite Lucerne Road, and potentially, gardens at Milford on Sea High Street. No impacts are expected at Ashley. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Milford by 10:00 28/01/2026. River levels will remain high but steady until the dam reopens. We are closely monitoring the situation and operating Milford Dam. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Particularly at Milford Bridge opposite Lucerne Road. This message will be updated by 12:00pm 29 January 2026.
