Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising rapidly on the Ginge Brook as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected within the next hour 04/01/2024, especially in the areas closest to the River in Steventon. Properties most at risk include those on Kennel Lane and Pembroke Lane. Further rainfall which may be heavy is forecast to move through the area overnight, 04/01/2024, clearing in the early hours of Friday, before conditions become drier into the weekend. We expect river levels to continue rising rapidly over the next hour. We are monitoring the situation. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Be aware of flooded roads, do not drive through floodwater. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 05/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
