Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is expected. River levels rose sharply overnight on the Ginge Brook at Steventon as a result of Storm Bert. Levels have started to fall through the day today 24/11/24 but have now risen again following heavy rain through the day. Therefore, flooding of property and roads remains possible. Areas most at risk are High Street, Milton Lane, Kennel Lane, The Causeway, Barnett Road, Abingdon Road, St Michaels Way, Stonebridge Road, Franks Lane and Milton Mill. Levels this evening are forecast to peak higher than levels last night, and higher than levels in January 2024, and therefore additional property flooding is possible. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated later tomorrow morning, 25/11/24.
