Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 06/02/2026 because of a wet January 2026.
Flooding could affect cellars of a small number of properties in Cheriton. It is unlikely that cellar flooding will affect property in Bramdean for another few weeks. Further rain (up to 30mm) is forecast on Tuesday 03/02/2026. Lighter rain is forecast from Wednesday 04/02/2026 to Friday 06/02/2026. Groundwater levels are expected to continue rising into next week.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
