Groundwater flooding in Pitton, West Tytherley, Nether Wallop and Broughton

Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High groundwater levels may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible as a lot of rain (27mm) has fallen since Wednesday 04/02/2026. 
Flooding is affecting cellars of 1 to 2 properties in Nether Wallop. In Over Wallop, water will affect gardens. In Broughton, rising river and groundwater will cause land flooding, which could affect property. The Dun, tributary will begin flowing towards Pitton from Monday 09/02/2026. Sewerage system impacts in Pitton could occur from Tuesday 10/02/2026. From today 07/02/2026 to Wednesday 11/02/2026, small amounts of rain are forecast. Groundwater levels are expected to rise for at least a week. In West Tytherley, cellar, land and road flooding could occur from Thursday 12/02/2026. 
We are closely monitoring the situation  
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed
