Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible as a lot of rain (34mm) has fallen in the last week.
Flooding is affecting cellars of properties in Nether Wallop and Pitton. Sewerage system impacts are expected to be ongoing in Pitton. In Over Wallop, ponding of water will affect gardens. In Broughton, rising river and groundwater will cause land flooding which could begin to affect property. From Thursday 19/02/2026, cellar, road and land flooding is expected in West Tytherley. Further rain, possibly heavy, is forecast on Wednesday 18/02/2026. If this affects the area, further properties will experience cellar flooding, and a small number may experience ground floor flooding later this week.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
