Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Groundwater levels are high but slowly falling. At Pitton, the level has fallen by 13cm in the last week. At West Tytherley, the level peaked on Friday 13/03/2026 and has since fallen by 9cm. Flooding is expected to be affecting cellars in Nether Wallop, Pitton and West Tytherley. Road flooding and sewerage system impacts are expected in Pitton and West Tytherley. Dry weather is expected from Monday 16/03/2026 to Friday 20/03/2026. Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling over the next week. Flooding impacts are expected to continue for much of March. We are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. This message will be updated by 18:00 23/03/2026.
