Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have fallen following Friday’s heavy rain. However, widespread rain is forecast from 17:00 today 21/12/2019 until 08:00 22/12/2019, and rivers will rise in response to this rainfall. Flooding is possible from 23:00 21/12/2019. Locations to be affected will include properties of Tanbridge Park, Riverside and near Provender Mill. River levels will continue to rise until 10:00 22/12/2019, and then slowly fall. Sunday and Monday should stay largely dry, but rain is forecast for Tuesday (24/12/2019), which may cause river levels to rise again. Some roads may become impassable. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. Our automatic sluice at Provender Mill is operating to help reduce the risk of flooding. We will update this message by 12:00 22/12/2019.
