River levels are still high on the Arun, but have now peaked and are falling, through Horsham, after Storm Dennis's widespread heavy rain. Flood impacts will ease, but may continue to affect fields, gardens and roads until river levels fall further. No new property flooding is expected. Please continue to take care in, and around flood affected areas, flood water can contain hidden dangers. Rain has now cleared, and only isolated showers are expected until Thursday 20/2/2020. These showers are unlikely to cause river levels to rise significantly, if at all, but river levels may not return to normal until Monday afternoon 17/2/2020. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding, which may still be affected today. Our automatic sluice at Provender Mill is operating to help reduce the risk of flooding. We will continue to monitor the levels and forecast and will re-issue messages if the risk of flooding increases.
