Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High tides on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 1 hour either side of Tuesday afternoon's tide at 14:00 on 09/12/2025.
Storm Bram increases tide table values by 0.57 m. Total forecast tide is 4.68 metres Chart Datum (2.09 mAOD) at Cowes. Strong South Westerly Force 7 wind. Large waves will cause spray overtopping and overwashing of defences across the exposed coast at Yarmouth, Freshwater Bay, Sandown, Shanklin, Gurnard and Ryde. This will flood esplanades, sea front car parks and roads in these locations. As Cowes is sheltered from waves, impacts, if any, will be minimal. We do not expect property flooding. Wednesday's tide at 03:03 on 10/12/2025 is forecast to be 54 cm lower (1.55 mAOD).
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have .
