Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

The Langney Haven is higher than normal following the past week's rain, but now slowly falling. Minor flood impacts will continue to affect fields and parkland including Shinewater Park. Only isolated showers are forecast Saturday. River levels will continue to fall. However, more rain is forecast Sunday and Monday, which will cause the river to rise again and further flooding could be possible, particularly next week, when flood water could begin to affect gardens of Langney Green. We are operating structures at Fence Bridge and Crumbles to reduce flood risk. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Langney Green. This message will be updated by 14:00 01/02/2026.
