Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Friday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 06 February 2026 Another 10-20mm of rain is forecast Thursday pm to Friday pm
Only 5mm of rain has been recorded so far on Thursday. River levels are not as high as they could have been. If as much rain falls as predicted Thursday and Friday, from 15:00 06/02/2026 minor flooding could affect gardens of Langney Green, and fields and parkland including Shinewater Park will also be affected. River levels and flood risk should initially begin to fall late Friday night, but more rain is forecast Saturday evening. More flood impacts could be possible this weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation and operating structures at Fence Bridge and Crumbles to reduce flood risk.
