Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 03 February 2026 , as another 10-20mm of rain is forecast Tuesday.
If as much rain falls on Tuesday as predicted, from 23:00 03/02/2026 minor flooding could affect gardens of properties of Langney Green. Fields and parkland including Shinewater Park will also be affected. Rain will stop Tuesday evening. River levels could rise to a similar height as on 27/01/2026. Only isolated showers are forecast Wednesday and Thursday. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce by 16:00 04/02/2026, but could remain higher than normal all week.
We are closely monitoring the situation and operating structures at Fence Bridge and Crumbles to reduce flood risk.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Install flood protection products in Langney Green.
