Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

Persistent rain will continue until 17:00 15/02/2026. Only a small river rise is currently expected. Flood impacts should remain minor, affecting fields and rural roads. Possibly approaching gardens of isolated riverside properties at Loxley Bridge on Wrotham Hill, Dunsfold and Petworth Road, Chiddingfold, near Brewhurst Mill on Brewhurst Lane and the Onslow Arms, Loxwood. River levels should peak, and begin to fall by 08:00 16/02/2026 near Brewhurst Mill. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday and Tuesday, which should allow river levels to fall nearer to a normal level in all communities. However widespread rain is forecast for Wednesday. Flood risk could return Wednesday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Continue to operate private water control structures at Brewhurst. This message will be updated by 20:00 15/02/2026.
