Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels over the next three days may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 21/02/2026 as a result of high tides and elevated river flow. High tide is forecast at 01:00 and 03:00 on the 21/02/2026. The water level is expected to be 4.74 metres Chart Datum (2.00mAOD). The following high tide at 13:15 and 15:15 is forecast to be higher, at 4.86 metres Chart Datum (2.12mAOD). Flooding may affect the access road and car parking areas near the White Swan Pub and the car garage at Mansbridge. Parts of Riverside Park may also be flooded. Levels will be very high at Gaters Mill. Only a small amount of rain is forecast for the next five days. However, flood risk will remain high until flows in the River Itchen decrease. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are liaising with Southampton City Council on the operation of Woodmill. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have, including defences around the White Swan pub. This message will be updated by 19:00 on 21/02/2026.
