Water levels in the Monks Brook are high but have peaked and are starting to fall towards normal winter levels. In the last 24 hours, 34mm rain was recorded in Otterbourne. The weather forecast today has improved, with any remaining rain clearing this morning and mostly dry for the rest of the day. Thursday (16/01/2020) afternoon and evening will see showers, in some places locally heavy, of 7-10mm. Although river levels will rise in response, no widespread flooding is expected. Friday (17/01/2020) and the weekend, sees drier weather. Our operational staff are in Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh, clearing debris screens in order to keep the river free of blockages.
