Warning no longer in force

The River Adur is still high following Wednesday's rain, but is now slowly falling. Minor flood impacts will continue to affect the A281 at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury, and water will remain in fields. Flood impacts should slowly reduce through Thursday. Only isolated showers are predicted Thursday through to Saturday. The river should continue to slowly fall. On Sunday 01/12/2024, another 10-20mm of rain is forecast. The River Adur is expected to rise again, although currently thought to peak lower. However, minor flood impacts are still possible. Some roads may still be affected by flooding, please take care if driving through routes vulnerable to flooding, including the A281 at Mock Bridge. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re-issue this Flood Warning if property flooding becomes expected.
