Warning no longer in force

River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold and subsequently this Flood Warning is no longer in force. Levels in Allerton Ings continue to fall and Barnsdale Road is expected to reopen today as levels recede.
No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next couple of days. River and washland levels are expected to continue to fall throughout this period.
We will continue to closely monitor the forecast as rivers will be responsive to any further rainfall. A period of rain and snow is forecast late on Saturday 04 January into Sunday 05 January 2025. We will reissue this Flood Warning if necessary.
Please be aware that standing water will remain on low-lying land, roads and in adjacent washlands over the coming days. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, drive or cycle through flood water.
