Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels are falling in the River Aire downstream of Castleford, and will continue to fall through Sunday, 22/10/2023, as no significant rainfall is forecast today. Standing water will remain in areas adjacent to the river. Water levels have not yet fallen to a level in Fairburn washlands at which we can remove this warning, although it is likely that we will be able to remove it later today.
Our incident room remains open. This message will be updated by 17:30, 22/10/2023.
