Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are continuing to fall but remain high following recent heavy rainfall. Levels in the washlands are also falling and are forecast to continue to fall throughout today (08/02/21). However, levels will remain high so flooding of property, roads and farmland remains possible. Areas most at risk are Newton Lane and Caudle Hill. Wintry showers are forecast over the next 24 hours but we do not expect this to have an impact on levels. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 17:00 (08/02/2021), or as the situation changes.
