River levels are high and forecast to rise further on the River Eden due to heavy rainfall earlier today.
Flooding could occur at isolated residential properties, farms and golf course facilities between Newby East and Low Crosby from 5:00 AM on 22/01/2024 as river levels continue to rise further.
No further rainfall is forecast tonight.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 22/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
