River levels remain high on the river Nidd at Birstwith due to rainfall associated with Storm Babet. Areas most at risk include properties situated along Wreaks Road, Clint Bank and Broomfield Road. Light rain is expected to continue into the early hours of tomorrow morning. Our incident room is open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 14:00 21/10/2023, or as the situation changes.
