Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are forecast to rise in response to heavy rainfall. Flooding is expected when river levels are at their highest from 10:00am today, Wednesday 1st January. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Nidd, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties situated along Wreaks Road, Clint Bank and Broom Field.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation, and our Incident Room is open.
