A flood warning has been issued for the River Nidd at Birstwith. Areas most at risk include Properties situated along Wreaks Road, Clint Bank and Broom Field. The current level at Birstwith is 2.62 m and rising quickly. Further rainfall is expected for the rest of Sunday 20/02/2022 and into tomorrow Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast and up to date river levels. This message will be updated this afternoon.
