Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Buildwas river gauge as a result of Storm Darragh. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from tonight, 08/12/2024. We expect flooding to affect properties on Ferry Road. Predicted Peak at Buildwas 5.4m to 5.9m Tuesday morning, 10/12/24.
No significant rainfall is forecast in the next few days. We expect river levels to remain high for several days.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 11:00 on Monday 09/12/24, or as the situation changes.
