Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is expected.
River levels are high but falling on the River Thames and tributaries such as the Bulstake Stream. The weather forecast is for scattered showers over the coming days. We do not expect these showers to significantly affect river levels. River levels are expected to continue to lower over the next few days but will remain high.
The temporary defences at South Hinksey, West Street and South Street Osney Island have been deployed. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.
This message will be updated before this evening, 01/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
