Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

Property flooding is possible, but further property flooding is not expected.

River levels are high but falling on the River Thames and tributaries in and around Oxford. The weather forecast is for showers over the coming days. We do not expect these showers to significantly affect river levels. River levels are expected to continue to lower over the next few days but will remain high.

The temporary defences at South Hinksey, West Street and South Street Osney Island have been deployed. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.

This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 02/12/2024, or as the situation changes.
